We believe that rigorous and reproducible science can change patients' lives and the world. The Clelland lab is devoted to developing new therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, including dementias and ALS. We start with the patient, because that is where the disease starts. We model complex human diseases using human cells and tissues. We build and adopt novel tools and technologies to address uniquely human diseases. We are personally and professionally committed to social justice and equity in science, medicine and all aspects of our lives. We are also committed to environmental justice.
